Veal Schnitzel Cutlets

Our veal cutlets are selectively cut from the top round and perfectly trimmed and tenderized by hand before it’s delicately pounded into the perfect shape. Schnitzel cutlets have a premium texture and mouthwatering flavor. They make a versatile and convenient choice for any meal.

Sunrise Specialty Foods Prime Veal Cutlets Recipe


-2 veal cutlets

-1 egg, whisked

-1/4 cup of milk

-1/2 cup of flour (2 parts flour and 1 part cornmeal)

-salt and pepper to taste


Start by heating a frying pan with olive oil. Combine the eggs and milk in a bowl and mix well. Put the flour mixed with the cornmeal in another bowl. Take the cutlets, dip them in the milk/egg mixture, then coat them in the flour mixture. Fry them on each side for 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from heat when they are done and put onto a plate with paper towels to drain the excess oil. Serve while warm.


Veal has a delicate flavor and easily takes on the flavor of whatever sauce you use. In general, you do not want to choose a bold red with veal.

Our prime cutlets make a good match with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. We recommend either a light-bodied beer such as an American Lager or an Ale.
